It's not that I am afraid to get tested, it's that we are running out of tests, so unless you are severally ill they are not testing or if I don't feel better in 5 days then they will test. And yes I am isolating and being safe.

Us too. No tests without a fever and flu like symptoms. They told D and I not to get tested unless we get symptoms.

That’s not the point. The point is you’re playing the “woe is me card” and expect everyone to give up what they have worked their whole lives for to protect people who either haven’t, are unhealthy by poor choices or to prevent people who are elderly from getting sick. That’s insane. Some might argue the elderly have already made it to 70 so now the 30 and 40 somethings should just stay home and do nothing while they lose everything? Not likely.
We DID give up a good bit. This year has been horrible for us financially because we HAVEN'T taken the risk to expose ourselves despite the fact that we rely on those shows and sales to pay our bills. I am not unhealthy by poor choices unless you count not aborting my child as such. Be a tight Christmas for us, but I still prefer it over not being alive to spend the holiday with my children. Did you really just try to argue that protecting the elderly isn't important enough a reason to take proper precautions and follow laws? Can you tell me where you draw the line for people who deserve protection and people who do not?

I just have a question. For you guys that say no one has a right to put you in danger, do you stop people from smoking on the street? Texting while driving? Driving at all? Unless you are a complete hermit, what you do affects other people every day, whether you mean to or not. I breathe in your second hand smoke, drive on the same road as you, lots of other examples. You can't change what other people do but you can change your reaction to it
Texting and driving are illegal, as well as second-hand smoke in many places. Your argument is invalid because it's factually incorrect.

And telling people that do not agree with you, they are horrible humans is not right either. We are all on this planet together, lets be nice
See, here's the thing you don't understand. You are entitled to Free Speech. You are entitled to have an opinion. The 1st amendment doesn't protect jerks from criticism. The right to act like an jerk and be called a jerk is the same right.

So... doesn’t that mean we would have to wear masks forever just to reduce it a little bit? What about the young children being affected? Who knows the developmental affects it is having on small children. Any social interaction in schools are now masked. Facial expressions are used for a majority of communication.
I'd prefer my children to have developmental difficulties over death. That's just me though. :idunno

Maybe you should read over my post you quoted because apparently you’re not comprehending what I said. Let me know if you still don’t understand.

This right here. Go ahead, explain to me how this can be taken any differently than exactly what you said?

Maybe you didn’t read the post where I already stated I have two disabled brothers one with diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney problems? He definitely needs protecting. 🙄
Then why are you arguing against the very measures put in place to protect them?

What protects him is staying home and not interacting with a bunch of people. My point is that he is vulnerable so he should stay home not everyone else who isn’t. I do not expect everyone else to put their lives on hold because my brother has medical issues.

Ok, so then here is where your misunderstanding of this virus comes into play. Because, he CAN stay home, but if those he comes into contact with do not, he is still not protected. You can be a carrier of this virus with NO symptoms. There isn't a safe way for "everyone to go on with their lives" without killing people.

Since you know so much about this virus how do you propose going on with our lives then?

I mean, you're talking to someone who thinks that laws can't restrict peoples behavior. XD And that it's illegal it make laws that restrict people. Some magic crazy world where immune compromised people don't have bills and laws are completely incapable of effecting masking, social distancing, or travel... But CAN somehow mysteriously effect every OTHER facet of behavior instead. They're clearly operating on another plane of existence, Em. ❤
