Coronavirus, Covid 19 Discussion and How It Has Affected Your Daily Life Chat Thread

Well, that's good that some people can get tests whenever they want. Here you "CAN" get a test without symptoms, on a specific day each week, at a specific location in the middle of the city for the whole county. Which is pretty useless. Otherwise you need to go through a COVID symptom checker via telephone and then have a brief chat with a doctor who does COVID assessment, then you do a drive-through test. The even stopped testing at CVS.

Thanks for that report, black_cat. Impressive and highly significant that you're not having cases transmitted within the school community.

I think it illustrates, as I keep saying, that if we adapt, we can carry on. There's absolutely NO point in digging in our heels and insisting that things are conducted as they've always been. The valid question is HOW do we carry on safely.

If more of the adult population got that, we'd be in a different place already. I'm glad your school board is among the folks who can think creatively and respond to a challenge. I hope students will be vigilant and keep themselves healthy!

My sister-in-law tested positive. She has some homes where they care for adults, not a nursing home. Apparently someone brought it into one of the homes and some of the people had cold like symptoms. She said she had no taste or smell. All is well now and no one died.

Better go and yourself tested Mr sourland.

I have not been in contact with any of these folks in over a month, and when I was in their presence then I was masked. The fellow who was exposed last Friday tried to get tested, and was told to wait until he showed symptoms as testing was too limited.

The thing about this covid crap, Is ever since it came to the united states I have been extremely cautious. I have been wearing my mask whenever I go anywhere. I sanitize my hands before getting in my car, Maybe once a week I would run to a store. By that I mean a gas station or our only grocery store. This is a town of about 2500 people. We didn't get our first case until about June! I stocked up on lots of stuff right in the begining, all of my co-workers thought I was nut for being so cautious. They all continued to go without masks and go shopping out of town where the cases were way higher and I'm the one who gets it????????????????? WHAT THE HOLLY BAD WORD!!!!!! They have all tested neg! They are all shocked that I have it, all they keep saying is, "but you were so careful!" I'm scared and and even more terrified for my DH. With his COPD, if he gets it, things could be really bad for him. My grand kids were here Sun night so they were exposed and so was my daughter. I'm a mess right now, all I want to do is cry!
