Not every place was hard hit. There were several days in Merced and Stanislaus counties in California where the hospitals were at 100% capacity. There wasn't a bed to be had anywhere. No big deal unless you were in a car accident or had a heart attack.

Not to be macabre but driving by only shows they were there, not that they were in use. I don’t believe the extra trucks for makeshift morgues were used many places at all. And I am not one that thinks this isnt a real sickness. I am one that thinks bureaucrats and politicians will never let a good crisis go to waste.

The one's I saw on TV were, I live in NY.
Our Gov lied about it, we all knew, media covered for him. Said he was doing great, Fauci lauded him. He even wrote a book on how great he did.
The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences gave him a Emmy award for "Masterful covid-19 briefings"
The whole time he was lying.
His press secretary said so, said they lied. The deaths in nursing homes our Governor mandated covid positive patients be sent to was twice as many as they lied about.
Media still covering for him.

Two days post second vaccination and just a slight tenderness and itching at injection site. No more reaction than that.

I'm back! Yesterday everything felt like it was unrolling in slow motion. I had trouble walking in a straight line. I napped a couple times. Still, I managed my responsibilities.

Last night I got a full night's sleep and I'm much more alert today. Arm's still sore but that's it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat and it feels good to be protected.

My daughter and her SO are coming for dinner over the weekend. They're not vaccinated but we don't feel vulnerable to them and we're not infected so we don't feel like we pose them a danger. It's going to be great to have a social life again!

How convenient that there is this remarkable drop in cases, 77%, after they changed the way the pcr tests are done. How many got thrown in Covid wards based on false positives from running the PCR too many cycles? Again this is a real sickness. There is also a lot of real BS surrounding what we have been lead to believe. Be safe and watchful.

I just heard that travel to the US from Europe has been suspended except from Great Britain. This also includes all trade.
What have you experienced, and are you experiencing shortages in your area? Have you been sick, or do you have friends or family that are?
Italy has closed commerce except for pharmacies and food stores.

Hi. I'm in England and been on furlough since Christmas Eve, and twice before that. I lost three of my girls consequetively in August/September and now my last/fourth one is currently in hospital due to water retention. I don't know how I would have coped without her. I had mid-morning coffee with her and sat a while with her before she roosted. As we are both on our own I think we have helped each other. I put a mirror in with her which she spends a lot of time at, and a cuddly toy is in the nest box for night company. Yes she is spoilt, but worth it.
