I know mRna is not DNA. The man himself says that mRNA is like the operating system of the cell that takes the information from the dna to the protien to tell it what to do. He says if we can change or replace some of that code or information we can make the cell make its own vaccine. Where is the error in what the moderna guy is saying?

I believe "common sense" to be in great supply. Everyone you ask believes themselves to have it in abundance.

the medically frail and young children un masked are not my problem--it's the close to you , in your face "dare you to say something" unmasked that bother me. distance and courtesy work for me!

I'm not sure if the mask helps but it's not the hill I want to make my last stand on.
I have not gotten much gruff from the non maskers OR the mask fanatics but then I'm >6' and seem to have a 'don't suffer fools' demeanor. I would just remind them, "If you don't like the mask, your going to HATE the intubation tube."

This afternoon we will go to our daughter's to celebrate the Princess's b'day. Grandkids and their SO will be there. The Princess is very excited as are the rest of the family. It's 24 days since we got the second Moderna shot. Not being crazy, but loosening up a bit.

So you're safe, but you could still carry it to those who are not.

CDC guidelines are now recommending that if you are vaccinated you can visit one household that is not vaccinated.
If a second household is involved then people should continue to wear masks and social distance. Technically they are saying there is a small risk of spreading it if you’ve been vaccinated and you are with people who have not been vaccinated. For this reason recommending that the people you visit, if they are unvaccinated, that they are not at increased risk for example have underlying health conditions or other issues.
Lots of exceptions to the rules and people just need to use their good judgment.

New reports from Israel indicate that this is probably unlikely, but that being said - we have not been whacked with the 'stupid stick'. Our interactions with others have been near zero for 12 months. Social distancing and masks will be utilized. It's not real complicated - just basic animal husbandry applied to the human animal. No high risk individuals involved needless to say.
