"...The proportion of people with immunity to Covid-19 (from infection and/or vaccination) has risen substantially, exceeding 60-80% in several serosurveys [measuring of antibody levels against infectious diseases]. We have learned more about the manner in which Covid-19 is spread, and also now have to contend with variants of concern whose epidemiology differs from that of the ancestral strains of SARS-CoV-2. ... The inability of the current testing strategy to identify the bulk of cases is illustrated by the high SARS-CoV-2 seropositivity rates seen across multiple provinces in serosurveys, implying that only a fraction of cases (perhaps one in 10, or even less) are ever diagnosed. ...We propose that quarantining be discontinued with immediate effect for contacts of cases of Covid-19. This applies equally to vaccinated and non-vaccinated contacts. No testing for Covid-19 is required irrespective of the exposure risk, unless the contact becomes symptomatic. We further propose that contact tracing be stopped,"

I don't know the above source. The following is most of the same information from South Africa's second largest online news organization

Below is South Africa's data on the WHO dashboard.

Its a christmas miracule :wee what happens across the pond usually takes place 3 months later here.

Ours is at 3.69 the last I saw

Actually! I just checked what our gas prices have been. A month ago they were 3.70! Now they're at 3.45! I remembered them being at 3.75 .. that's quite a bit down. Wow.

It's $2.64 near me right now. There were places in MO where it got up to $3.99, but never around here. I think I saw it go over $3 briefly around April or May. Like $3.05, maybe.
The cheapest here is $4.69 :th

Reg. gasoline @2.80 at Costco. About $3 everywhere else in S.Louisiana.

I remember being shocked at California gas prices in 2003.
$4.00, but that was in Donner's Pass.
At $4 a gallon I think I'd just quit driving :th its almost cheaper to own a horse!

I love Costco’s gas. During Ida they dropped the membership requirement and anyone could come get gas
