I have asthma, and that N95 mask keeps me safer! Is it incredibly comfortable, not really. But much nicer than the ICU!!!
The only people who are disadvantaged, IMO, are people trying to lip read others in face masks. Beyond that, I just don't get this current 'mask phobia'. Is there a Greek term that would fit?
Mary
There is:Masklophobia
thats what came up on google anyways. My trouble with them is sometimes people sound muffled behind them and you cant understand them. People dont seem to realize its harder to be heard behind them

I need some advice. We have had a NYE party planned for a while now- outdoors, open air. My whole family is vaccinated, but not all of the attendants are. We’re expecting anywhere from 10-40ish people. Would it be foolish and putting us and everyone else at risk to attend and host this event? 3/5 of my family members are boosted, and the other 2 are fully vaxxed. It’s pretty implausible to ask everyone to test before attending. Do we cancel or not?

Locally they said that there was no noticeable increase in cases (Delta) when 90+ K were sitting shoulder to shouldr at the games. FWIW

I'd have it. Whats gonna happen is gonna happen. We can't live our lives locked up secluded in our homes. It is what it is. Its not if but when we all get it. Do we really think its just gonna pass us over and disappear? No its not. Its here and we just gotta swallow that and live our lives happily

So what's more important that you can do to yourself, will impact the general population in a positive way, maybe we think it might, and no one should worry how it will affect themselves??
In the plane they always say put your oxygen mask on first then help others. Seems like I need to keep myself safe first. Is my logic flawed?

Ok exactly what conditions do people have that prevent them from wearing masks? Is it asthma? Claustrophobia? Everyone look at me I’m an exception to the rules? What can possibly cause a person problems wearing a paper mask?
I have a blood condition. My blood does not carry oxygen like it should. After 10-15 minutes rebreathing the same air / not getting enough oxygen ,I pass out.
