I've actually heard of a few people now that do not want anyone to know they had covid, (don't tell anybody). It's weird, like they found out they had leprosy or something.

At christmas when we went to the inlaws my MIL asked how work was going. She was about 3 feet away from me and I told her about the grandparents getting covid. She slowly backed away from me until she was across the room. I was a little offended but I get it. I may not have it but I could be a carrier. But I think if she was that concerned that she would have just asked me not to attend christmas and sent my hubby home with my gifts. I could have skyped them for opening gifts. I dont think she realized she was doing it

My late husband was very claustrophobic from experiences in Vietnam. I'm certain he could not have worn a mask. He could not even be in a room with the door closed. Nobody should have to explain their reasons for not masking, they are protected under HIIPA. But thank you, all those who did. They are reminders for all of us to be compassionate and reserve judgment.

My late husband was very claustrophobic from experiences in Vietnam. I'm certain he could not have worn a mask. He could not even be in a room with the door closed. Nobody should have to explain their reasons for not masking, they are protected under HIIPA. But thank you, all those who did. They are reminders for all of us to be compassionate and reserve judgment.

HIPPA has long been gone. I always have to explain. As the DMV has done they make it impossible for you or try to to go and get/do what need to be done.

True, there are some on the "need to know" list, but they can't legally use your condition as fodder for dinner conversation with random strangers.

You would be surprised, how many do not do that. I have a dear friend when this all started that told me things from her job. She is a pharmacist and knows better then to speak about these things. I gave her an earful. We do not speak about anything at her job anymore.

I have too. I don’t want to get covid but if I do I will not be embarrassed I hope. I am assuming the stigma is from the idea that you didn’t wear your mask or ash your hands enough.

At work today. Grandma is back to work and continues to test negative. Her husband is home and still contagious so we're keeping distant and masking and sanitizing. Boss has a sick kid. Getting tested for covid today. Praying its just a cold

I just called the Illinois governor's office and found out we are in complete lock down AGAIN. This seems to mean the government is closed. Only the government. They can not take phone calls or do any government bussiness. So if anyone needs help you are completely on your own. I do assume this means police and fire departments. The police here have been like most and not working for 2 yrs just here to drive the cars around. You know for show but they do not really get out and do anything. I am so mad I could spit fire right now.
