It was important to allow people to vent and share like minded experiences without fighting and bickering. However due to the politics surrounded covid they could only allow one such thread since there are people on both sides of the aisle. BYC has always been a site based for a community educating each other not bringing each other down. Just my thoughts but I'm sure the mods would agree

Wish I could say the same. 2 relatives dead - 3 friends dead and 1 with long term damage - all but one without comorbidities - depending upon God and their immune systems to protect them.

Ironically/sadly the man with long term damage berated me last spring for wearing a mask and that it was a hoax, and one day I would have to admit that to him. He lost his traveling partner and is now incapacitated. I doubt that I have to admit anything to him.

Very sorry for your losses. Everyone in my family caught it except me and my father. Some caught it twice. I wonder if perhaps I had it at one point. Now I also wonder if my current issues are due to it.

So finally heard back from my doctor's MA. She said the pharmacy should have my prescription but she's gonna call it back in. So thinking wtf...I decided to go into the pharmacy. Apparently even if you change this crap online they don't change it everywhere...they still had my maiden name as is...they had my old address as well. So they pretty much just threw out the script when it came to them because they didn't have anyone in the system by that name. This is why I hate cvs...but they're the only pharmacy that will take our insurance. They said they didn't have any call ins yet but my drs MA said she'd call me back when she put it in.

The m.a. never called back. I've decided if I don't hear back tomorrow I'm going to write a strongly worded letter and hand deliver it. I like my doctor but this form of communication isn't working and now it's bordering negligence. If I don't get my meds and am injured as a result that's malpractice. I don't get what the hold up is. It's just a phone call to the pharmacy. Then it's the pharmacists problem

They are no longer calling it covid on the news. Now they are saying a "new omicron varient"

Known as B2. MORE infectious than omicron though similar in infection severity.

Yes. We have this B2 type here too. Its about as sickening as the previous B1 type. Mild compared to Alfa and Delta.

But there is one problem. The medicines for patients in hospital that worked for B1 don’t work for B2.
