No. You would think there would be a program to test for antibody levels in immune compromised people. We are banking on us remaining on the "mask in public, physical distancing" process.

That said she rarely got sick before Covid descended upon the world so maybe the Humira just beats her system down enough to back the RA off from destroying things too much.
I agree. Why don’t they pour some money into finding out the immune status of people. Of special interest would be the people who have contracted it.

Are they recommending everyone keeps boosting every 6 months?
Here they recommend a 2nd booster 3-4 months after the 1st booster. But only for the same group who gets an annual flu vaccination.

Looking at the numbers of people, ordered by age, in hospitable with covid, that makes sense.

Ended up in the ER again tonight. Far less expedient than previous. I had a severe panic attack in which my body went tingly and my hands were like lobster claws. 2 ekgs, a lung x-ray and several blood tests and 4 hours later found I had a panic attack and my potassium was deficient. They gave me two giant horse pills that I had to break in half to swallow and sent me home with a packet on potassium rich foods. They said that condition can only be caused by two things: low potassium and hyperventilating. Since I had both it was very severe. I almost crashed my car due to this because it happened while I was driving home. Luckily I have a doctor's appointment next week. The ER was much more efficient during covid. Ironic I think especially since covid supposedly had them packed. I've never had a panic attack like this before which is why we went. Tingling and numbness in the limbs is nothing to shake a stick at. They also told me my rescue inhaler could be causing it but I rarely use it. In fact I used my rescue inhaler once I got home and it seemed to help. I really thought I was going to die today or have a stint put in my heart.

Oh wow! Panic attacks are the pits! And those potassium pills, gag! But good thing you were able to choke them down! I couldn't, when I had covid, and they had to give it to me in an IV and burnt my vein something awful. That stuff BURNS! :hit Glad you are home and hopefully okay. ❤️

I ended up choking on the first pill which is why I had to cut them in half. The nurse said I was "being a big baby". My hubby suggested breaking them in half. My dear sweet husband refused to leave my side the entire time even though I urged him to go home and put the chickens up and feed the dog. I told him to go home because I knew I'd be there longer and to just bring back my fiber llama for comfort but he refused. He said "I'd rather know whether you're being admitted or not so I can bring you back clothing as well". He was sick with worry. I feel terribly for screwing up his evening but I couldn't even get out of the car. I just started screaming help. Luckily the dog heard me because I'm not sure he did.

Good husband and good dog too! Did it not occur to you to use thr car horn to summon help? Three short blasts three long, three short equals SOS. Everybody should know that.

Honestly at that point I was just trying to use my rescue inhaler or use my cell. But with my lobster hands it was impossible. I know Morse code and so does the hubby. I never thought of that at the time. Instead I forced myself out of the car and stumbled into the yard. The dog has heard me and was waiting at the fence barking. Shes been trained to help me with my anxiety so she knew there was something wrong. Hubby got me inside and suggested that maybe this is just a panic attack and maybe I just need to breathe. As I continued for a half hour to not be able to control the tingling in my limbs I said "this isn't normal. I think I need to see a doctor now". Now I know I should have listened to my husband and just relaxed. But at the time I never had an attack like this. This was off. It felt like a seizure and early stroke signs. I could still lift both arms above my head but I felt twitching and tingling all over. The doctor assured me that even though theses symptoms resembled a stroke they were not. He said "I understand why you'd be panicked about this because it is unusual but this was not a strong key event. When your potassium is low like yours is it can cause your muscles to leave to up. In addition to hyperventilating from panic it makes CO2 build up in your blood which further locks up your muscles.". I essentially had a Charlie horse of the body. Scariest thing that has ever happened to me.
