It took me forever to get this picture behind a blue canvas, and I want to ask, it that curved spike on Pok's rose comb fit to standards? He's a purebred Rosecomb Bantam.

The curved spike is not preferred but is accepted. Most breeders will try and get rid of it for the next generation. I would suggest buying a Rosecomb hen from a reputable breeder and breeding him. The offspring will have better examples of the comb.

Hey guys can you tell me the breed of this roo? About a year ago i bought some heritage breed to a friend and just mixed with this fellow still dont know what breed is he belong....

I'd imagine he's rosecombed New Hampshire Red.

Very interesting! I'm not actually interested in breeding to standard at all, because I won't be showing my birds and I really like that spike there.


Anyone know any particular genes behind the spike?
