Cortunix...making weird noises.. how much longer?

I will be butchering all my Coturnix in the next week or so, I only have 5 hens and 2 roos. The crowing noise they make is very disconcerning at first, but you get used to it. They are so easy to hatch and raise, easy peasy!

My Bobs are just mean, lean eating machines right now...have 23 of them; they hatched out in August I think? 3 of them are Butlers and the rest are Northerns. When I pinioned...the butlers I did on left wing, the Northerns got it on the right wing. BUT, dumb me did not tag or mark the Butlers for easy recognition after I pinioned...won't do THAT again...LOL

I like the sounds they make; but since they are so young it will be a while before I can experience the true flavor of a Bob...lol
