Cortunix Quail help with gender?

How much light are they getting? I think they need to get 12-14 hours to lay.

They are in an outdoor penning with netting so light easily gets in. I thing one thing I did when they were growing up was switch them from a heat lamp to a warm tin when they were about 3-5 weeks.
