Coryza

Coryza treatment requires a sulfa drug such as Sulfadimethoxine or SMZ-TMP in combination with an antibiotic such as Tylan or Baytril.
Birds are carriers for life, I recommend culling sick birds.
If it's Mycoplasma Gallisepticum (MG), treatment is Tylan or Baytril.
Again, I recommend culling sick birds. Both diseases are easily spread through a flock.
It would be best to have your vet determine what disease(s) you're dealing with and move forward accordingly.

Sorry I had a misery day yesterday, missed some posts (yucky autumn weather).

Poor wee kiddie, I would definitely give an antibiotic if you have one of the two I listed.

What are the ones you have on hand?

As for nourishment I would go and try some warm water mixed with honey. I use a teaspoon of honey is a half cup of hot water mix well till it all dissolved then let it cool off so it’s just luke warm.

If you don’t have honey you can use sugar.

If she still won’t drink it you can drench her - I use a small insulin syringe (with out the needle of course) and give 1/2 a syringe full (that’s 1/2 a cc) at a time.

I think my chickens have Coryza. Pretty sure actually. Every Autumn and spring 1 or 2 get swollen, weepy pussy eyes and nose accompanied by a bad smell. Separating doesn’t seem to make any difference, if left with flock, it doesn’t spread.

Does anyone know any natural treatments for Coryza, or will we have to go down the drug path? Pls help me and my chooks 😢
How is your chicken doing now?
