Cosmonaut~ A heartwarming story

Update on Cosmonaut- He’s doing okay! I am trying to find an easier food pan for him, at the moment it’s a big aluminum pan... Any ideas?
What about a trough raised up a little off the ground? I have one attached to a wall in the coop with a big tube in the middle that I pour the food into and it fills the trough as needed. I'm not sure what his exact mobility capabilities are though...

I certainly try and see how it works out!!

A trough is a good idea.

You could also try something like cage cups, these can be hung on the wire of your run at an appropriate height for him.
Just a thought.

This is Cosmonaut.... He has had this neck problem ever since he was dropped off at my house as a day old chick. I didn’t know what to do or how to treat and I REALLY didn’t want to cull him.... He is a barred rock (?) rooster and a lifelong pal! He is just over a year old (really surprising in my opinion) and I love him very much and I’d like to think he loves me too!!
As for feeding he gets 3 large - medium sized eggs each day, all flock feed, and fresh veggies a few days a week, oh and LOTS of love!!
Here’s my little wonder - Also it rained so he’s a bit muddy (I’ll have to wash him up)

What a precious lad you have. Best of luck to you both.
