I found a coop I like (we have a run that we will attach) and Im trying to gauge an approx cost before I buy the plans. Can anyone help just get me a ballpark on cost? Pretty open to whatever minor changes i need to make it cheaper.

No dimensions, that looks like AI make believe imagery 🤮

I would guesstimate to build something like this would run you $800-1200 just in materials.

Areas you could save some $ is on plywood sheeting, it's not always necessary on the walls if using siding over the top, or under the roof if using corrugated panels. You could even do the exterior siding out of free pallet slats. I don't see a need to buy any plans for this personally, but you do you. Heck, I'd price it out against a prefab shed kit.

If you like that style, you’d be much better off buying a shed and converting it into a coop. That is basically what this is. A shed with some nesting boxes in it.

Look on fb marketplace/craigslist/local classifieds to find a used shed. Just make sure it has windows for ventilation (you can add some) and put hardware cloth over the window openings.

If you were to use these plans for six chickens, you’d do better to have the nest boxes mounted externally. They’re taking up a lot of space inside, so it really doesn’t have 30 sq ft of usable space. Also, it’s hard to tell, but in the photo it appears that there are six nest boxes, which is ridiculous overkill.

I get the feeling that these plans, if they exist at all, were created by someone who doesn’t know much about chickens and their needs. And that’s not uncommon - there are many plans that make sense from a carpentry approach but not at all for chickens.

Have you looked at any plans from Third Coast Craftsman? I think several members here have built some, and they seem to be well-regarded overall.
