Cost of Cattle Panels

That is Exactly how I was planning to build the coop, but bigger because I have 25 chicks. Maybe I can
bend them into a loop and tie the ends onto the roof rack! Love the wings on the Tarp roof.

By the way, I still haven't found a local source for cattle panels, I did peek around the back of the feed store and I saw a huge pile of corral panels, Hmmmmmm......

I think i might have to change the design plan.

There are other panels out there that are more expensive. Be sure to ask for cattle panels, average $20-$22. Horse panels may cost $80 because they include smaller openings. There are hog and goat versions also.

Just a friendly note. I am also looking for the cattle panels at approx. $20 and have not found them even though a search shows Lowes and Home Depot have them but they do not. maybe a feed store farm supply, there used to be one on Krome and Silver Palm which I think was a branch of a south Miami store. But I am way out of date , old and nearly dead!!!

BTW I grew up in the area Redland, Silver Palm and Newton Rd . I had Chickens, bees, rabbits, ducks avacadoes, mangoes oranges etc. a Wonderful childhood in a home my maternal grandfather built. He built the one next door also where my mother was born.
Across from what used to be Anderson's. Drop me a note sometime.

You might broaden your search to add hog panels... They aren't as wide as cattle panels, and the wires are spaced closer together, but it'll help do 2 things; 1 eliminate the accidental cattle corral panel/cattle panel switcheroo problem lol, since hog panels are almost always the wire ones you're looking for, and 2, they might be easier to locate in your area.

And ya never know, you might just find that they are actually cattle panels lol, because they're so similar and can get switched accidentally ;)
