I keep them in the spring, and sell them off in the late fall. I am going to keep them year round next year because I just like to hear them even though they won't lay in the winter. Wait a second, do they lay with heat and artificial lighting?

We have Wis. Jumbos, Orange, speckled, and northerns.

I might eat a few extra roosters. I don't eat many of them though. I just don't have the heart to kill some of them, but sometimes I can't wait until frying day.

Yeah, i personally would not eat them, they are not as aggressive as Northerns.
