hello
i have 6 full-grown coturnix, one just broke off the tip/hook of his beak, seperated him, blood there but not more than he licks off
constantly licking, seems to try to eat, but not quite successful yet/ all flock crumbles
not certain if i should treat the beak, etc
my first birds, gifted week and a half ago, but have been intermittently taking care of my previous friends flock of 35 chickens, 4 ducks, and these coturnix for about a year
gifted, as well, the oversized cage, very dirty straw, 6 cups crumbles. no waterer, using small shallow bowl [seem to have adapted]
current bedding of dried leaves, indoors
not able to pay for vet, these are pets
also, as to food, should i make some scrambled eggs for him, if he does not seem to take to eating?
thank you
