What relative humidity % do I need for incubating coturnix quail eggs?
What is the ideal temperature for incubation and hatching?
What day do I move to hatcher and lock down?
What humidity % do I need for hatching?
Do the coturnix quail eggs need to lose 13% of their weight over the course of the incubation like chicken eggs do?

I have 56 coturnix eggs for a first time quail hatching from Lake Cumberland Gamebirds that came today (Jumbo Browns and Jumbo whites,) and another 2 dozen assorted from Robo's auction that should be here anytime now!

Also, should I let them sit at room temperature overnight before setting them in the incubator? I just got them tonight and they are rather cold from traveling in the truck all day in this weather.

Let them sit for 12 hours. The temp should be 99.5* for forced air and 100.5* for still air. The humidity for the first 14 days should be somewhere around 45%, at lockdown bump it up to 60%+

Your eggs from me will be there tomorrow or Saturday. Sorry it is taking a day longer than expected. I tried to ship on Tuesday, but it didn't recognize it until Wedsday.

No worries, Robo... I'm just so excited about them that I don't even mind!

I can't wait to see the colors that I get, and snce they hatch so fast I won't have to wait long.

I have a batch of 60 going and they all seem to be doing good. I sent you a few weird colored eggs so you could see what comes out. If I am not mistaken I think I sent you a white egg.
