This is my quail pen that I just built a week or so ago, the bedding is pine bark mulch over sand. The half logs in the back are hollow giving them a place to go to get out of the wind.they like to dig under them and play in the sand, they also seem to enjoy standing on top of them to keep an eye on their surroundings. the wire on the outside goes into the ground with heavy boards over it.

The second picture in this post is of my boyfriends female bobwhite Quail Mrs.white...she lost her boyfriend a few months ago and she got depressed so she's been with the coturnix since then and has especially bonded with one of my older girls. They sleep snuggled up together and share dust baths.[/Mrs. White is adorable and I'm glad she has a new friend![]()
Can anyone help me on the gender of my two jumbo brown (at least I think that's what they are) coturnix quail? This is my first round of quail, and I have no clue how to tell. AGE: 2 Weeks 5 Days
Bird 1: Above and Below
Bird 2: above and below (This one is redder than the first bird plus it's WAY more flighty)
Also, how do you tell the gender of Texas A & M?
If this is in the thread already, sorry. too lazy to read through 225 pages.
