Coturnix Quail Basics- Information and Pictures Galore

Thank you for the great info and pictures.
My husband has Quails and Ducks. They lay eggs and he loves to eat them as well.
I'm still waiting for my chickens to lay their first egg

and I would love to

the quails for laying all those eggs.
Maybe I will do quails next year.

I guess the permit is only to sell birds not eggs right?

The cortunix eggs in my pic are from A&M cortunix birds. I can't believe how huge the jumbos eggs are!!

get this that jumbo egg of mine IS from an A & M

She's the biggest coturnix of ALL of my jumbos i Have she's MASSIVE! I can't even hold her in one hand she's that big.! LOL! And i thought my Jumbo golden from sam was big! LOL! I WILL be breeding those two together at some point in the spring for sure.

I read this/your thread about sexing them with the vents so i did the other day to mine and i found out my white coturnix quail is a male!

i was hoping for a girl but a male will do fine.. i am sure i will still get some white chicks from him

i think he is the scared quail though...he tries to mate with the hen but get scared half way through and falls on his side then he runs away from her...and he never crows...i think he may need The Talk Lol
