We have several types of poultry that are a LOT louder, so it doesn't bother me at all. And

I am hard of hearing BTW...
Guinea and Peafowl have them beat hands down!

Does anyone sell their quail eggs to people to eat?

We don't really have extra, but I had someone ask about them.
I was wondering what the going rate on them would be?
I assume it wouldn't be much as you can buy fertile hatching eggs quite cheap.
They are very small (though I only get like 3 eggs day).
I know some grocery stores places carry them, there's nothing like that around where I live.

Thanks!

I do, and its the same price $3 a dozen. I usually get around 16 eggs a day, I cut back on my quail since I am hatching the seasonal fowl right now. (Muscovy, Geese, Turkey, Guinea.. etc) I make sure they understand these are fertile eggs.

I have no problem eating a fertile egg (obviously as long as it didn't start developing, got one of them by accident once & was pretty disgusted), but my quail & chicken eggs aren't since I don't have any roo's.

I know with a lot of eggs fertile eggs are sold for a lot more (at least around here) with the intent of incubating them. Just eating eggs are usually a lot less.

I guess some people may have a problem with it, but I doubt they'd even know that they were. I've had a hard time telling whether my turkey eggs were fertile & I knew what I was looking for.

I tell people up front they are fertile so there is no question or complaints later. All my birds here are mated groups.
I sell excess eggs from any of my birds that I am not currently hatching, so if they are for eating.. we eat them.
I freeze whatever isn't sold within a week or we eat them ourselves.
