Coturnix Quail Basics- Information and Pictures Galore

i use the unfiltered apple cider vinegar in the water for my chickens. Does anyone do this for their quail?

Whats the purpose? Chickens too sweet, or are you marinating them premortem?

ROFL too funny! Its really good for their probotics and digestion. Keeps the water fresh longer and prevents algae too. I use it for every critter I have. 1 tablespoon for a gallon of water. I also use it to ferment feed for all my animals. Good stuff.

Oh I use red cider vinegar for everything, its really good for your skin and its a very good disinfectant, but I never put any in my birds water.

Often I'll put copper in the reservoir, its pretty good to keep stuff from growing/living in the water.

I've got a quail with a prolapsed vent.
We've gotten a few double yolkers the past week that I think were from her.
Usually my husband deals with the quail since they're on the ground I have to like crawl in to get the eggs, but I did it tonight and noticed one was looking off.
When I picked her up I could see the prolapse.

Do I cull or can I fix it?
Googling now....
