Have any of you had or heard of a coturnix quial laying multiple eggs a day. Had someone claiming she had hens that laid up to 5 eggs a day. I told her to call Guinness Book Of Works Records.

I can get 2-3 a day on LONG summer days but it is rare...

That would be the Weird Book of Records. It sounds like a story from someone that doesn't spend much time with their flock. I can believe maybe 2 eggs if one came early then one very late in the night but 4 or 5 daily... I would have to see to believe!

Lets get back to real, thats just ridiculous. they do pretty much lay daily. Occasionally more.

My whites. ( seven hens ) give me an average of five a day when they're full speed. My browns, not so much.

Mine often lay two a day, but if you could direct me to the lady with quail that lay 5 a day I'd like a bunch of them and a few geese that lay golden eggs too
