Coturnix Quail Basics- Information and Pictures Galore

I get a solid white egg every now and then. I Aldo noticed that the inside of dome of the eggs looks blue. Nothing like those in the pictures, but blue enough to tell the difference. I'll get pictures next time.

I can tell whose laying based on the pattern on the eggs. My girls all lay a different pattern.

My blue egger still hasn't started back up. She's the only hen in that pen not laying right now.

Does anyone know if I can incubate cortunix eggs along side my chicken eggs since they hatch out sooner? Lady I boight my eggs from said her chicks died off being housed together do to chickens having a bacteria that cause the quail to die? I have this batch in a seperate incubator I didnt want to leave it to chance since these are a investment production wise for me. Wondering if anyone has first hand knoweledge about this?

Fertile eggs

I would definitely love to hatch them. I have time to do a quail run before I load the incubators for the easter hatch a long, and I could see how the new Brinsea my hubby and daughter bought me runs! I have all my ladies overwintering outside, so even if I pulled some in, it would take a few weeks for them to gear up and start laying. I could totally get a jump on my spring quail hatch!
