I can’t wait to see how this goes. Make sure you warm them up to your body temp so they don’t chill the tiny button eggs, and she will like warm new eggs better, especially big eggs.

I held it in my hands and semi near the heater first but I think it was a smidge cold still cuz she was doing her best to warm it up I thought about it too that's why I did the heater I have the 3 extra resting in the foam I think I'll stick them in the pine to keep em not too cold at night and see how the plan goes tomorrow, and I know I so want her to hatch a coturnix!!

I just spot candled mine that were collected about a week before yours and I have a big egg like yours and it’s developing and crazy active in there! I only candled about 8 out of 50, and maybe half were not developing or had quit, and half are rocking and rolling. Like I had told you, 2 of the hens are young and the roo was terrorized by one of the hens who survived but was left crazy. So I was anxious about these eggs, but they seemed to settle into a nice group, and it’s my hope that even if only half were good, and half of those were scrambled by the usps, that would still give you 4, which is basically 3 more than you want anyway. The dad, Apollo, whisper crows, he’s super super quiet.

Oh my god I hope it whisper crows if it's a boy that would be nice since I already got Anubis at 3-5 am the lil brat though 3am is mostly when he does this weird snap at u crow to the buttons telling luci and king to shut up it's not 5 am yet

Hard to sleep at 3am with insomnia and things, so here's some pics I took before bed, we got Lucifer wanting attention so he stood flamingo in my hand enjoying under the wing rubs which he loved for some reason, he got mad when I took the 2nd picture, and here are the little baby's in the incubator the two dark are the potential albino and the lil black splotched one by them is the potential black, rest gorgeous celadon dragon looking things, oh yes shana also took another egg yesterday since I candles hers and one button (which after cracking to check) was fertile but didn't develop while the other 6 are all spider veining and all have pinprick heart's going badum badum very strongly, the misses is telling luci if she hatches those babies she gonna kill him (she and Lucifer are at war) so I slipped her another coturnix celadon which she willingly accepted I don't think I can give her the other two since she now has 2 coturnix and 6 buttons to sit on, this might even effect how many buttons she gets to hatch though I think she's covering all the eggs very well so far, and is very dedicated, omg if I get a broody button that hatches coturnix.

Time for a update, shana sitting super broody chittering(only way to describe it) to everyone go away, and me starring at the incubator wondering if I'll be able to wait till lock down before I try to candle any , and hoping the two big eggs don't mess up shana's eggs(hope they get enough warmth she seems able to cover 6 of hers and 2 celadon) here are pics enjoy, look how mad shana got it's like almost seeing the angry vein on a bird, this poor Little tiny splotched egg is supposed to be the black one poor little guy so small I'm not sure if it will hatch but omg if it does the misses has a thing for runts
PS. Dry est hatch I ever done barely need a few drops too to the water spot outside dropped into the little water tunnel only want a few drops to flow through it seems, plus when u put this mat in there it effects humidity in this model need to learn to control it with and with out if u don't use a mat in it's for this model, but honestly if u do it right works great for incubating and lockdown and humidity control (the nonslip matt from dollar tree)

Well I'm down some eggs, my poor little albino's the 2nd one I cracked the lighter shelled one had a fertile dot but no veins at all just didn't develope and lil black egg no signs of life but I knew ahead of time that there was a good chance this would be the case I'm tempted to candle some celadons it is day 7-8, sorry for the blurry pics I should have used her phone mines a busted up work phone for now , we got them in there shells showing the yolks so pretty , man they were pretty tough was able to peel the outer shell off like two layers before I had to break both layers to let the yolk drop out(kinda interesting compared to buttons) , then we have the yolks then. The egg side by side by yolk, sorry for one one of the yolks tried to runn off the toilet paper onto the counter so I had to hold the egg then try to get the shell in the picture omg it kinda ended up cracking right onto my finger while doing all that at once (yolk was out first) so yes

So i candled the rest of the eggs cracked 2 more open cuz they ddnt make it but i got 7in the incubator going strong and the 2 under shana look even better then the 7 in my incubator like she sped them up some how let's see if they hatch early (was already thinking i would have to take them when lock down starts cuz hers will hatch on that day) but if they do hatch early but would they survive anyways pics(uploading pics separately)
