This worked!Thank you so much! Here's the heading from the listing I purchased -
2 dozen! (24) Celadon Blue Coturnix Quail Eggs **FREE SHIPPING**
If you copy/paste that in the search it should pop right up!They have LOTS of listings for different varieties and quantities.
Yes all eggs shipped and hatched were blue! I wasn't expecting any pastels since they have a separate, and more expensive, listing for their pastels but after they hatched I realized they included some. I received 26 eggs, 14 hatched. Since it was my first time hatching quail I certainly wasn't disappointed. This worked!
Thanks.
All of these babies hatched from blue eggs?

Of course! I am hoping that the majority do in fact lay blue eggs, and plan on separating those that don't (though it'll be a lucky guess on if the males carry the gene until I test hatch their babies). Most of the listings I saw of Celadon claim that they will occasionally produce non-blue layers, but I wasn't sure if that was true across the board or if they have some non-blue carriers mixed in. Guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks!Sweet.
Will you please please let me know what color your babies lay when they start laying?

May be less than two months. The wait is killing me!Thank goodness it's only 2 months and not the 8 months I'm used to with chickens, haha. I'll update the thread when I start getting some eggs.
Oh man, here's to hoping then!! I'd love to get some eggs at the 5-6 week mark. It sure would help my sanity get back in checkMay be less than two months.
I had one that just started at 5 weeks.
I usually start getting lucky right at 6 weeks though.
Are you feeding them a good high protein game bird feed right now?Oh man, here's to hoping then!! I'd love to get some eggs at the 5-6 week mark. It sure would help my sanity get back in check![]()
