Coturnix quail gender and other questions Plz help I don’t know what I am doing

My quail are raised on the ground and live in my “chick coop” with the chicks when the chicks/poults/keets are old enough to go with them. They train the chicks how to act and keep them company till they can go to the large pen with the adults. I had one unfortunate loss when I had 3 males and 7hens as a starter. I have never vaccinated my quail and I live in thu US
