Unfortunately, I don’t think this little tibetan chick is going to make it He seems quite weak… just lays flat under the brooder. I picked him up, offered food and water. Didn’t really want it. He was an early hatcher… I wonder if that has anything to do with it? The other chicks are doing fabulous. Poor little guy

Sometimes chicks just fail to thrive. I'm sorry about the little one. You might try some Nutri-Drench. It may work, it may not.

it may not make it but I would try nutri drench as Nabiki said or some sugar water. I don’t have nutri drench available and haven’t been able to find it but I use sugar water and it seems to help them a lot gives them a ton of energy

Tell me about it, I had over half my chicks fail to thrive the first time I hatched eggs… I was so sad! I don’t have nutridrench, but I gave the chick some rooster booster and he’s perked up a bit. At least enough to start chirping, and try to jump out of my hand. I still don’t think he is going to survive, but we will see. Pull through little dude

Tibetan chick is looking worse sadly. Always gets me when there’s only one that fails to thrive

Haven’t seen anything from the eggs in the bator. Today is day 18 for them. I really don’t think any more are going to hatch.. maybe one more jumbo but that’s it. Probably going to buy some more eggs.. this will be the last time!!

Everyone is doing well! Chunk rarely sleeps under the heater anymore he’s got so many feathers! It cracks me up watching the 3 little black ones run around, and then start screaming when they lose each other. They also really like the white chicks. I think it’s so cute

The 2 jumbos, and Fee. Chick jail did wonders for him.. came out a new bird

Also, no more chicks hatched. So disappointing. I think I’ll let them incubate for a few more days, and then turn off the bator.

All the other chicks are doing good. No fighting, all cuddles!

Breaking the silence with some sad news.. had to cull one of the white chicks. Black dot aka Small Fry. He was the first bird we’ve had to cull, and of course he was a chick. I’m just so upset

Everyone else is doing good. Chunk and Zapdos have almost fully feathered out. They’ve been put in a separate pen. They’ll be going outdoors soon! Currently building a whole new area for the flock, and I really want to get it done sometime in the next week.

Everybody loves the black chick with the little mask. Looks like a penguin

I'm sorry. The first bird I ever had to cull was a chick too. It was very, very hard emotionally, and so easy physically that it seemed to make the emotional side even harder.
