we have a quail who has bumblefoot and her feet look like that but she doesn't limp.

Poor thing...I don't know if you should seperate her to limit her movement to see if she will heal or just leave her be.

Are her knee parts swollen on that leg?

It doesn't look swollen and it doesn't feel hot... None of the others are picking on her, I was hoping not to separate her and stress her out. I cleaned off her foot and got a better pic...

I guess it does look a little swollen but also looks like there is some bruising...

Update: She seemed like she was getting a little better and continued eating and drinking good... then yesterday afternoon I found her dead with a little blood coming from her beak. Any ideas what may have happened?

I'm sorry.
We can play the guessing game but it could have been anything that killed her.
The only way to know for sure is to send her for a necropsy.

Where would I send her for that... how soon after death do you have to send them?
