Coudy eyes can be chicken cataracts

Yikes that came off ageist! I do not mean that older folks tend not to see things. Geez. I mean to say this fella was quite elderly, does this as a hobby, considered it most impressive that a chicken would eat out of your hand, and keeps several in a big shed with a single light bulb. And when I tried to gently point out that a couple of his birds weren't right, he didn't (wouldn't) see it.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having the same problem. My chickens are 5 months old. They also came from Cackle Hatchery. I have a buff Orpington hen and a speckled Sussex roo that are afflicted with these cloudy pupils. Neither of them flinch at all at any kind of fast movement near their heads. Is there anything that can be done? Are they in fact completely blind? This is pretty upsetting.
