Coughing and gasping chicken

Sola started coughing two days ago. At first we didn't think we were hearing right. Today she is gasping. No gapeworms that I can see. Crop is full and soft. Poopy butt tho. Using DE in coop, could that be the culprit? Help please!

How old is she?

It sounds like she has a respiratory illness.
Separate her with her own food and water.

If you have a vet you can take her to, that would be best.

She'll be 3. I think you're right, a vet is best. I have tetracycline but I've heard it's useless.
Giving her yogurt and polyvisol too. Rats. I hate illness. TY for your input

Just wanted to give an update on Sola. Gave her yogurt, poly-Vi-sol, and vet rx for a few days. I also removed all the DE from coop. She stopped gasping and coughing! It's crazy. I am continuously astounded at these birds powers of regeneration. She's a trooper for sure!
