Hello.
I am a new member and have read quite a bit about this issue, but I am needing some advice! I have a pretty large backyard flock of around 40 chickens of a variety of breeds. A few months ago, they started sneezing/coughing and I went the natural route and started VetRx. My chickens have a very nice dry/warm and draft free barn they stay in at night and out foraging all day and have NOT introduced any new chickens. All the chickens I have were either hatched at my place or purchased as babies over a year ago.
I have had a few of my chickens die but within weeks of each other. It seems to have hit certain breeds harder than others. Most of the chickens that have died were Marans. I have done 2 treatments of soluble Tylan and the coughing still persists. My vet knows very little about chickens but always good about getting me Tylan when I needed it. Any ideas on what could be going on or how to treat it?
Thank you!
