I don't think there is a set time. It depends on the disease or injury. If this is indeed internal bleeding and not some sort of respitory problem, it may lead to death, and can be extremely painful. But if the hen seems to be fine and not suffering, I wouldn't cull. Good luck OP, and so sorry about your hen's condition. :hugs

It's so hard being on this side of owning animals. Knowing when you have done everything you can and you're just prolonging the suffering. This part I do not enjoy

Thank you! They'll be in the house all week, antibiotics say they need to be on it for 7-14 days, I hate having them cooped up in the dog crate but I can't guarantee they're drinking and eating in the barn
 
So sad I would bring to vet I have no word but the title gave my a scare sorry I have no ideas I hope she gets better real soon.

Some people cannot afford a vet, so they try to take care of the birds at home. If you have the means, then take the bird to the vet. If not, do your best at home. It isn't always an option for everyone. :)
