Silkies are generally heavily crested, with hard feathers that can look very polish indeed. He’s stolen so many hearts!!
That’s what made me thing Faverolles, everything I read says they are the o my “salmon” coloured birds out there and his colouring really represents that!
I’m not sure about everyone else, but I don’t classify them as a breed. My understanding is that any breed could be frizzled as it’s a feather type
I do know he is at least part Silkie since they told me that as one of the breeds, assuming what they say is true. The Favorelles would also give the 5 toes but I think the other two frizzles have 4 toes. At least 1 has 4 if I’m not mistaken...I’ve been trying to narrow down what they are mixed with alongside the Silkie in him. Probably should have said thatSome of the pullets give me Polish vibes but those two are from the older pullets they had available.. the younger ones all give me Cochin and something else that was frizzled..
Edit: Forgot to mention I know about the frazzles! That’s why he was separated and paired with my crossbeak Ameraucana pullet and not the two frizzles, as cute as that would have been.
