I have been noticing white spots on some of the yolks. I don't know how some of you get such good pictures of them, this is my best attempt. This egg got dropped on the counter and had an indent in it but the membrane wasn't cracked so I just put it in the fridge for a day or so. It was a double yolker btw. I'm guessing that is why it has yolk splatters all over? It smelled and tasted fine. The white spot is the one in the top right side. The other yolk had a white spot too but it was near the bottom and I couldn't get a picture of it.

My pullets are about 24 weeks. None of them look anything like a rooster. None are crowing. All of them squat except one who I can't get close enough too. She is mean too. She was one of the last to grow her comb. I have 6 pullets. I got 5 eggs today so at least 5 are laying. And before someone asks I have had them since they were chicks. Tthey don't free range so no chance of coming into contact with another rooster.

I can only speak from my experience with fertile and unfertile eggs. My fertile eggs had the white spot, but it looked like a bullseye on a target. I don't think your egg in the picture is fertile based on that. My unfertile eggs have white spots too, but they lack the bullseye appearance. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me :).
