Could Mary be Martin?

"She" ruffles her neck feathers and bumps chests with the other chicks. To which my husband says is her celebratory "hi". Is this normal behavior for a pullet? She is around 3 months old.

She looks like a pullet to me, there aren't any rooster characteristics that would say a boy. The ruffle in neck feathers is common in pullets as the assert themselves in the pecking order. I see it happen commonly with my 3 month old pullets.

That is exactly what she does. I'm happy to see and know that girls bump chests too.
