I got eight chicks almost two months ago. Chicken math hit justa couple weeks after I got them and I got two blue laced wyandotte that one of the older ones has taken a Momma role to. I put seven of first group out in coop since crowding came on fast wit Momma staying in brooder wit the two blues and also almost two week old gold lace. I will take Momma and blues out in the morning to hang with flock bring in at night figured blues not old enough yet to stay but almost two weeks of this figured they can stay in coop but they won't go in with rest of flock. The seven will go in at dark but these three sit at bottom of ramp and cry and squawk till I bring tub out to take them back in garage where brooder is also where the two week old gold laced are. How do I fix this or just keep shuffling them out and in until the small ones can be introduced to flock.

Just making sure I'm not confused - you want the 2 week olds and the 1 "mama" to go into the coop with the rest at dusk? What happens if you manually put them inside?

Does the coop have a ramp or steps and have you seen the younger birds use it?

Her and the little ones will line up on ramp when the others are going in but won't go in. The little ones with her are almost a month old but I also have two more still in brooder tub in garage two weeks old this weekend. I decided this past Sunday just to leave Momma and the two out in coop with the others even putting one of the little ones in coop and closing door in hopes it's crying would lure her in didn't work. Last night while her and the two sat on ramp one of them went in coop came back out to her waited almost ten minutes they wouldn't go in. I went and got the tub the three of them came over hop on edge of tub to go back in garage with the other younger ones. Should I just force them in or just let them stay with younger ones till I introduce those two young ones to rest of flock in a couple weeks.

I'm a bit confused as to how many groups there are.

Am I correct in that there's:
- 8, 2 month-old birds. 1 of which is separated with...
- 2, 6 week-old chicks? And also...
- 1, 2 week-old chick?

Yes I started with 8 a few weeks later I got 2 more which bonded with one of original 8. I moved 7 of the first 8 out to coop since it was getting crowded and I left bonded 1 with the 2 young ones taking them out daily to run with the others and bringing them in at night since I didnt think young ones should be out in coop all night yet. I also ended up with 2 more little ones that are 2 weeks old this weekend. Total now 12. I want to leave Momma and the 2 she bonded with out to stay with flock and keep the 2 youngest in brooder in garage. She and her adopted 2 will not go in coop with the other 7 at night should I force those 3 in the coop or keep moving them in and out till the youngest 2 can be introduced to the older ones already in coop.
