Could these be Mohawk RIR's?

I obtain these two birds by a very reputable person. I was told they were Mohawks, but since then, I have had many people dispute it saying they could not have gotten to WV. Every other bird from them is exactly as represented. With the rarity of this bird, I hate to lose them from the breeding population if I present them as only RIR's. I do not know this particular breed. Many of the photos have been lightened due to my phones inability to take good pictures and their reluctance to go where I want them to for good photos. They are very large birds and they are very far dark red almost black if that helps. I will try to provide better pictures of any area requested. Thanks!
