I candled tonight to see the 5 eggs I have in the incubator and 3 didn't look good so I did floating test and all three were floating vertically with fat side up. So I threw them out

The other two I think they are still alive. They look fuller with mostly dark. Tho I can see little veins on where there are still a little semi see through spot. And I can't see any movements today. I definitely saw movements last night when I candled
Is there any chance they might still be alive ? I think they are Muscovy mix and I'm on day 32 now

This is one of them and the other one had bigger tilted air sack.

I added more water in and close the lid. I think I'm gonna give them till Saturday before I do floating test.

Just want to see what expert says

Thank you

First... I don't believe putting hatching eggs in water is a good idea... Unless you are trying to make sure the egg does not survive.

Second the picture does not look too good.

Do you have a salt tested humidity gauge in your incubator? Are you sure you're not overheating it?

I only did the water test before I threw out the eggs I'm pretty sure it's dead. The temperature dropped pretty quick on the three I did test on.

No, I don't have adapt tested one in my incubator. This is my first time incubating. I was given a used hovabator and didn't think there were that much to it. I have been trying to find a combo one since I started but really don't know what I should get. Can I salt test those mini digital thermo/hygro combo ones from Amazon ?
I have one of those analog hygrometer combo in the incubator.

I don't think I have it too hot if anything might be slightly cooler but again I'm only learning about it after I set the eggs.

I'm pretty sure you can salt test any of them.

It's sucks having to learn the hard way but good for you for trying.

Before you set eggs again I highly recommend buying at least two thermometers that you can calibrate and putting them in your incubator and running it for a couple of days so you can learn how it runs.

If it gets too hot it is much more likely to kill quicker than having it run too cold.

By too hot and too cold I mean just a couple of degrees. The number one rule when using an incubator is to never trust a built-in thermometer / temperature reading or humidity reading.
Always purchase separate instruments to calibrate (thermometer) and salt test (humidity gauge.)

I really didn't think it was that complicated when I first started it. I got really attached to the whole process and still hoping at least one will hatch. The other one looks a bit better than this one. It has bigger tilted air sack. But I can't see any movement. There is no smell to the eggs so I'm leaving them be

There is no temperature readings on the old hovabator I got. I added one and bought one hygrometer but it was for wood lol. I'm gonna see if I can calibrate that one. And calibrate my kitchen thermometer for backup/ comparison for next batch

Lol I'm gonna try chicken next so I don't have to wait for so long 😅
