Could this be a cockerel?

I was told this was a pullet but lately she has been acting like a he and I noticed what looks like a spur starting to come out. It is only 3 months old or so.

It has been running around with its head down then charging the hens and when they play fight it kicks its legs out like a rooster while the hens stretch their necks out.

I tried to highlight what looks like a spur. In daylight it looks white but the camera's flash came on and it didn't look as white so I don't know. There's definitely something there.

I had this happened to me once before. My avatar started off as a pullet until his hackles and saddle came out in this bold orange.

Anyway, I thought maybe I could tell by his tail but not really. Maybe it is too young and maybe you old pros can help me out.

I already have a rooster so I don't need another one with only 4 hens/pullets.

That's a pullet. That color is a pullet only color. Some hens have spurs, and all of them have the little spur buds, so no worries there.

That is definately a cockerel. It has pointed, curving, saddle feather

I want to believe it's a pullet color scheme because I've seen a number of pullet/hens with the same coloring I remember when my other pullet turned into a rooster and his colors changed a lot. No orange, very light brown muddy white feathers turned to bright orange, dark brown and almost blue feathers.

Time will tell!

Pullet. Saddle feathers rounded, they do curve in some hens. Pullet coloration, small comb. Spur buds are not a sex indicator. Both sexes can get them.

I miss my fire bird. I wish I had him back.
