She is 9 weeks old. Breeder thought she was a mixed silkie. But I don't see silkie the older she gets.

someone else said easteregger once. But she is a big girl. How ever it's hard to tell her size. She came with a lil bantam pullet. So up against the bantam pullet, she is lil bigger at 9 weeks where the bantam pullet is 12 weeks old.Not a brahma- wrong leg color.
Thank you. When I got her 6 weeks ago, she was black and white only. Just this last week her feathers are turning tan. And I love the new mix of her feathers. We got two and the other pullet is a bantam size chicken.Likely a Brahma crossed with something else. Pretty bird!
Picture here is the lil Bantan size pullet, not the one in question about being a Brahma.Thank you. The lady said Silkie Mix.I definitely see Silkie, has walnut comb and darker pigmentation. Definitely not pure Brahma but may have some in her
Oh gosh @Rhodebar Lover, I was referring to the white pullet, not the brown one on possibly being a Brahma Mix. See this picture attached here.I definitely see Silkie, has walnut comb and darker pigmentation. Definitely not pure Brahma but may have some in her
Still see the SilkieOh gosh @Rhodebar Lover, I was referring to the white pullet, not the brown one on possibly being a Brahma Mix. See this picture attached here.
See how the beak is dark and it has the walnut comb! Brahmas have pea combs and would not have the darker pigmentation. I can definitely say there's Silkie, but there could be Brahma as well. I would actually wonder if it's crossed with another breed since its legs are decently lightly feathered! I would assume Silkie x Brahma would have more feathered legs. Could you ask the breeder what other breeds the Silkie could be crossed with?
