Could this be a welsummer?? --

-- Still trying to identify some of our mysteries--just two left

-- I think this first one might be a welsummer---what do you think??
The second one I'm not sure at all---I'd originally thought golden lacy winged wyandotte--but she's much more black than the pictures I've been able to pull on the internet--She's a lot "heavier" than some of the other birds too--got me stumped

Welsummer?

How about this one?? She has a "green cast" to her black feathers in the sunshine-..pretty, just don't have an idea of what she might be

The first one looks like my Welsummer but just smaller. Is yours young? I can't tell you about the second one. You'll get great brown speckled eggs with the Welsummer.

Yes, the first one looks like a Welsummer to me, too. 2nd one, not sure.

They are fairly young...like 2 mths or so---the second really has me stumped

Looks nothing like my 6 week Welsummer. Mine is much lighter (especially her chest) and has pale whitish legs.

how do welsummer's differ from a brown leghorn? I keep wavering between the two breeds--the leghorns I've seen have less "detail" on their feathers--mine have a lot of detail--Thanks

They look like my brown leghorn pullet and my dark cornish pullet when they were that age.
