Could this be angel wing ?

It wouldn't be normal for him to be tasking 4-5 weeks to get his muscles strong enough to hold them where they should be. Maybe do this take one of your other drakes and examine his wings development open them up and get a good look. Then examine this fellow's wings the same way and see if you notice anything different. At least this way you can know if there is something else going on.
Thanks for the tip,! I’ll try it out and see what’s going on.

Could be angle wing. What are you feeding them? Definitely inspect his wings and notice If anything is off. I would try wrapping his wings with vet wrap. Like this

Here’s a photo of when we wrapped our duck with a mask

Sometimes they manage to get it off like my duck did so I gave up after a couple of tries. 😅

don’t really remember the name of the feed ( I’m not home right now 😅) but I’ll add an image of it. We free roam them so they eat a lot of insects grass or whatever they can find. And sometimes we feed them dry mealworms.

Yes this is angel wing. Many blogs on the subject only describe angel wing as the twisting of the joint that causes the wing to turn up or out from the body, but according to researchers like Dr. Janet Kear
the drooping is also angel wing.

Here is a quote from an abstract taken from one of her articles.

"... 'Angel wing' is a musculoskeletal disorder that can result in permanent wing deformity and flightlessness in birds (Kear 1973). The proximate cause is a deformity of the distal end of the carpometacarpus, which at times causes the primary flight feathers to droop when the wing is folded next to the body, or it can result in a dorsolateral rotation of the primaries, causing them to twist and project outward (Kear 1973, Zsivanovits et al. 2006. ..."

Yea that’s what got me confused, a lot of articles and pictures only show or say angel wing is when the wing goes up, never down. I’ll make sure to wrap his wings then. Thx for the info!
