could this be the chicken laying blue green eggs

You would surprise if you see how diferent shapes of combs, ear colors, body shapes, feather colors ,legs, of hens laying blue/green eggs exists , at least around here. Mutts of course. But there is not an estrict law that says that a blue layer MUST be this way or that.

The first posted hen is not a brown leghorn. The basic color is the same but the leg color is wrong, the tail is wrong and the comb and wattles aren't near big enough. The pics aren't good to really tell, but I think the body shape looks wrong, too. That said, I don't know what she is, just one thing she's not.

The gold/black hen you posted almost looks like she has some tufts on the sides of her face? But I agree it looks like a straight comb...........huh. I'm lost here.

To the OP, I had two Easter Eggers that were the same color as you hen. They did have the pea comb and willow legs.. BUT my brother had a EE that looked exactly like his Buff Cochins. She was a Cochin X Ameraucana to look at her you would have never dreamed she was an EE but she laid the prettiest pale blue egg you have ever seen.

I also have a friend who owned an EE that had a straight comb and greenish legs and laid a nice bright green egg..

I have also read (on here ) of people having hens that look just like true Ameraucanas and lay brown, white, olive, green eggs---They too are Easter Eggers

Great...now I guess the next thing on my chicken knowlege to-do list is read up on combs & ear lobes...for throwing a few chickens in the back yard, there sure is a lot to learn!

I had an EE roo that had a comb just like Carl's. All mature EE roos I've seen had combs like that. In hens the pea comb is very small and like you said, but in some roosters the comb gets really big and flops to one side.
