Could use some advice

Ok so I have gone thru 4 bandaids trying to brace this ducklings legs. Also the bandaids only keep his legs together and they still stick straight out behing it. I gave the new babies some sink time and the little guy with the bad legs swam around like crazy. But I did notice he started to sink after about 1 minute. So of course I took him/her out and dried it up. I notice its uses both legs, but its like it cant bend the knee of one leg so it just sticks out behind it. It uses it other leg to get around. I can bend the knee for it. So now I'm confused. Its not really spraddel leg its one leg doesnt want to bed so it sticks out backwards not to the side. So he uses one leg to dig into the brooder bedding and scoots along on his belly.

I have heard that thiamine (B1) can help some leg problems, so that's good.

It really seems like it could be neurological, so if you're giving extra Bs, that may help. I also wonder if a full spectrum multi vitamin might cover some bases we haven't thought of yet.

Ok so I am convinced its a dislocated hip. The left hip feels different than the right but I can not find anywhere where it tell show to put it back. And no there are no vets near me (I live in the sticks) and DH would kill me if I even thought of taking a duckling to the vet. So I did find a post on BYC that described the exact issue this baby has so I am going to try what they did. It's a bouncy seat type thing so the leg can hang normal. I am still giving Vit. B and electrolytes. With it in its harness seat I will be feeding and watering it often. Right now its sleeping. I will also let it swim once a day. I have tried banaids, yarn, tape, wrap, and a q-tip brace and it kicks everything off. So here we go, I guess we'll see what happens.
