could we make a change to the sell and trade forums please?

i was thinking that maybe the selling and trading forums should be separated by state maybe? or maybe by breed or pick up only or will ship? i get annoyed looking though a ton of stuff to find one post that looks promising and its not.

so maybe have them by state and in the subject you have to put the other info.

so like this: Illinois
then the subject would have to read

2 silkies+3 RIRS/pick up only/free to good home

or

breeding pair barred rocks/will ship

so if i just want to have them shipped and i want some barred rocks i can go to the illinois link. skim the topics till i see barred rocks. Then see willing to ship and know i want to click that link. instead of searching 3 pages and opening 5 different links. to not find one that will ship.

or maybe by breed
so it would read like this: rocks

3 roosters/ 4 hens/ pick up only/iowa

i think that one would be messier though. when people have different breeds to sell.

just my thoughts on it.

It is helpful to have your state and short but descriptive title and ship or P.U.

like
"OR-Rouen Ducks-P.U. only"

or
OR-Wanted Ducks"
Like that.

Those who are not descriptive are losing out on a lot of potential responses.

We have asked before that people put their state in the title but it seems with so many new members that needs to be reinforced again.

Well once I start, I now know that I will need to post the state at the beginning. Just gonna have to put it in a newsletter maybe?I know it says not many newsletters but maybe this and anything like contests and such could be included in this for a helping hand to us newbies?Not trying to be pushy, just a suggestion for a helping hand maybe.

Yeah, I agree, people just need to put it in the title. Honestly, several of us feel BST has been seperated enough to be confusing as it is. More so and I'd probably write off that section of the board completely!

Maybe the posting page could be changed for BST so that a reminder of the "proper posting format" is automatically entered into the subject line when someone starts a new post (like "ENTER STATE/ITEM/SHIP? HERE")
