geesh, finally. i was getting frustrated waiting with you. c'mon gobbles!!! get out, get out!! i'm gonna go crazy when i'm waiting, assuming mine make it that far. this incubating business is stressful.
Well, the pip hole only got a wee bit bigger over night. I was to tired to stay up and help encourage it to come out.
It's a very lazy turkey b/c when I woke up the pip hole was the same. I think it decided to take a nap after I went to bed and waiting for me to talk to it to try to get out.
It finally hatched!!!!!!!
I have no idea about the other egg. I'll candle it in a min.
Here's some pics of the eggs progression. Sorry, I think my shirt is reflecting on the dome lid.
It's so cute!!!! It's trying to get it's footing. It will raise up on it's back legs for a while, scoot around and poop out from exhaustion. LOL!!!!! Looks like a little dinosaur.
I'm baaaack!!
Sorry I missed out on the stress and excitement. You were certainly in my thoughts regularly!!
So glad you have a successful hatchling! Sorry he doesn't have a sibling, but I'll bet dh & dd bond right to the little guy now that they can see that sweet face!
Yay!!!! You're back!!!!! I missed my hatching buddy.
Oh DH & DD will bond with it all right. They have already brought it up from the basement and my baby chickens were never allowed to do that this year. LOL!!!!!
Thank you so, so much for these turkey eggs.
This little turkey is the cutest & sweetest thing ever.
I may have to find it a friend.
Anybody out there close to Illinois or St. Louis, Mo. know where I can find a heritage turkey poult????? I'm serious!
It's doing great!!!! I'll post an updated pic now that it's all dry & fluffy.
