Countdown to Baby Chicks 2023 edition

Pics
Exciting! :wee All these posts (and especially the pictures!) are giving me chick fever bad! It's been so mild here, I'm ready to call it spring and just get to hatching already. If only my birds would get laying!! :barnie
Going to be 66 degrees for the second day in a row, then snow rain mix in a few days, hard to know if I can even prune my trees, what is even dormant????

They have finally arrived!! Heres the blue. I noticed they all still have their egg tooth despite being 6 days old, should i do anything about that??

Well I got refunded for the 9 that passed. The lady asked me which breeds were lost, and I’m like… i cant tell the difference between the leghorns and amberlinks, or the OEs and Mystic Marans (both copper maran crosses). So I left the refund to their discretion.

I’m trying to socialize with the chickies more - invited them to class today!
Do you know what breed the yellow chick is in the first picture? My “Americana” looks just like her.

Can I please join this thread!!! I haven’t ordered chicks, but our local feed and tack store will have them on april 15th.

I have ALWAYS ALWAYS wanted salmon faverolles and I am finally getting them in less than 2 months, I am so excited !!! I have it marked on my calendar
They are the cutest, my LFS doesn't have access to them otherwise they'd be #1 on my list, please post pics once you get them!
