You can have way more types of ducks in Florida. I live in Florida as well and have Rouen, Swedish, Pekin. Also i know many people who have different breeds than Pekin in Florida. The only breeds you cant own are the wild types without a permit. All domestics are ok. If any permit is required though, it would be the free one.Two PekinsI'm in Florida so they're the only legal types. In a few months/year or so we're moving to Arizona and I hope to get some Cayuga's!

ducklings are adorable!! I buy little ducklings sometimes and then sell them when they are bigger just so I can see ducklings! Are you planning on taking those pekins when u move to Arizona?
Good info!http://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/managed/waterfowl/mallard-possession-rule/faqs/
Unfortunately they all require a license unless they are Pekins. Any duck considered Anas platyrhynchos require a license. Rouens and Swedish are Anas platyrhynchos domesticus and require a license, unfortunately. I could probably apply for the license quite easily, I'm just not staying in Florida long enough to justify it.
Absolutely! They are going to be my Emotional Support ducks, no way I will get rid of them!
Quick thought... Make sure the water in their waterer if warn, like bath water warm. I say this because although it's rare, some ducklings will start having seizures if they drink a bunch of cool water. I have seen this in my own flock, so it's not just something I read about.![]()
That’s awesome! Will u be driving them there or plane? I don’t even know if you’re allowed to take duckshttp://myfwc.com/wildlifehabitats/managed/waterfowl/mallard-possession-rule/faqs/
